The New Orleans Saints maned Wesley McGriff as their defensive backs coach on Monday.
McGriff was the cornerbacks coach and co-defensive coordinator last season at Ole Miss. He also has served as an assistant at Vanderbilt, Miami, Baylor and Kentucky.
Among the current NFL players that McGriff developed in college were New York Giants safety Kenny Phillips, Green Bay Packers defensive back Sam Shields and Houston Texans cornerback Brandon Harris.
McGriff joins a defensive staff with the Saints headed by recently hired coordinator Rob Ryan.
