Saint Joseph's defeats Duquesne 84-82 in overtime

PITTSBURGH (AP) C.J. Aiken had 15 points, including the game-winning basket, as Saint Joseph's beat Duquesne 84-82 in overtime on Wednesday night in the Atlantic 10 opener for both teams.

Aiken made a layup with 1:32 remaining in overtime, then the Dukes missed two chances to tie including a jumper by Eric Evans with 1 second to go.

Langston Galloway scored 19 points and Carl Jones added 18 for the Hawks (11-4), who have won six of their past seven. Also for Saint Joseph's, Ronald Roberts had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Halil Kanacevik had 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Saint Joseph's overcame a 16-point deficit in the second half and Jones tied the game 78-78 on a basket with 6 seconds remaining to send it into overtime.

T.J. McConnell had 28 points and Sean Johnson added 17 for the Dukes (9-6), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
