Sabres' Hecht retires

Buffalo Sabres forward Jochen Hecht said after Friday's game that he is retiring from the NHL.
The Sabres made the announcement on the team's official Twitter account following the 2-1 shootout victory.
Hecht, 35, began his NHL career with the St. Louis Blues during the 1998-99 season. He joined the Sabres during the 2002-03 season.
He played 833 regular season games in the league, scoring 186 goals and contributing 463 points.
He had five goals and nine assists in 46 games this season.
