Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
There's some word going around that John Cena is banged up and dealing with various injuries, including both a shoulder and neck problem. Apparently is issues have been lingering for some time and the Brock Lesnar beating didn't help what with getting suplexed 16 times.
Speaking of Cena, it's also now being said that the way he was booked on Monday Night Raw, to kill Bray Wyatt and run over The Wyatt Family was all Vince McMahon. There were initial plans for Bray to get involved with the Big Show & Mark Henry-Luke Harper & Erick Rowan program, including giving Show a Sister Abigail, but that fell through because Vince apparently wanted to firmly reestablish Cena as the top star.
Daniel Bryan has been pulled from advertisements for the upcoming European tour in November. That doesn't mean he won't make the trip, but WWE is playing it safe right now. There's still too much uncertainty regarding his condition and future in pro wrestling.
Elsewhere on the injury front, there are conflicting stories on Ryback. He may not actually be hurt but WWE is running with the idea on TV that he is and there have been published reports, namely from the Observer, that he's got a lower body injury. Meanwhile, Zeb Colter is said to be injured in kayfabe and reality.
For those of you who loved the Solomon Crowe hacker gimmick, apparently Triple H completely disagrees. He hated it and now it's been dropped.
