Roy Hibbert put up 27 points and registered 13 rebounds and 6 blocks in a spectacular all-around effort to lead the Indiana Pacers to a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, 106-98. Indiana (12-1) is now on a 3-game winning streak.
Hibbert went 7-12 and converted 13-16 from the free throw line. Other top performers for Indiana were Lance Stephenson with 18 points and 5 rebounds, David West with 17 points and 11 rebounds, and George Hill with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Michael Carter-Williams had another strong performance for Philadelphia despite the loss, putting up 29 points on 11-21 shooting (1-5 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 6-11 from the free throw line. He also registered 7 steals, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Evan Turner contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds, James Anderson finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds, and Daniel Orton put up 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The 76ers posted an eFG% of just 36.3%, including 16.0% from 3-point range. This year, they are winless (0-4) when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Pacers are undefeated (4-0) when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
Philadelphia (6-9) could not get back-to-back victories after defeating Milwaukee on Friday.
