Outfielder Cody Ross agreed to a three-year, $26 million contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks, ESPN.com reported Saturday.
The deal also includes a club option with a $1 million buyout.
Ross, 31, batted .267 with 22 home runs and 81 RBI for the Boston Red Sox this year.
Arizona's outfield also includes Adam Eaton, Jason Kubel and Justin Upton. However, the Diamondbacks have reportedly been looking to trade Upton.
Ross returns to the National League West, where he helped the San Francisco Giants win the World Series in 2010.
Ross has a career batting average of .262 with 122 home runs and 452 RBI over 887 games in 10 years.
