Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to a shoulder strain.
Tulowitzki left Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks after straining his left rotator cuff while sliding into home plate. He sat out Monday's game against the Dodgers but was able to take batting practice before Tuesday's game.
Tulowitzki, who was limited to 47 games last season because of a groin injury, is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday.
In 24 games this season, the All-Star shortstop is hitting .308 with six home runs and 22 RBI.
