Rockies Beaten 5-4 by Phillies with Walk-off
Domonic Brown hit a game-winning single in the ninth as the Rockies were downed by Philadelphia, 5-4.
With the score at 1-1 in the top of the sixth and the Rockies batting, Wilin Rosario took starter Kyle Kendrick deep, scoring Michael Cuddyer and Troy Tulowitzki.
Chad Bettis (0-2) went 5 1/3 innings and picked up a no-decision after he allowed only one run on six hits with five strikeouts and one walk. Rafael Betancourt (2-5) collected his fifth loss on the season after pitching 2/3 of an inning giving up two runs on two hits and walking no one. Cesar Jimenez (1-0) picked up the victory, pitching one inning and giving up no runs on no hits with one strikeout and no walks. Rosario gave a standout performance at the plate for the Rockies, going 2 for 4 with a home run, a run, and three RBIs. Tulowitzki also had a great game, going 2 for 4 with a run. Carlos Ruiz finished 3 for 4 in the win.
The Rockies dropped the road series three games to one. They will take on the Marlins Friday at Marlins Park at 7:10 PM EDT.
