Rockets re-sign Brooks, sign Williams

The Houston Rockets re-signed guard Aaron Brooks to a one-year deal and signed unrestricted free agent guard Reggie Williams to a multi-year contract, the team announced Friday.

Brooks played in just seven games for Houston last season, averaging 1.4 points and 0.9 assists. The No. 26 pick in the 2007 draft has career averages of 11.6 points and 3.4 assists with the Rockets, Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings.

Williams was an undrafted rookie free agent who signed with the Golden State Warriors in 2010 after playing collegiately at VMI and spent the 2008-09 season in France. He has averaged 8.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 20.0 minutes over 177 NBA games in his career with the Warriors and Charlotte Bobcats.
