NEW YORK (AP) -- Justin Robinson scored 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out nine assists and had three steals to lead Monmouth to a 73-58 win over St. Francis Tuesday night.
After Sheldon Hagigal's jumper early in the first half gave St. Francis (5-5) a 13-10 lead, Monmouth rattled off 14 straight and never trailed again.
Monmouth (4-6) closed the half with a 14-2 run and took a 43-22 advantage into the break.
Hagigal, who finished with a career-high 23 points, scored 15 in the first 10:17 of the second half to pull the Terriers with six points, 53-47, but Andrew Nicholas hit back-to-back 3-pointers and St. Francis would never again get closer than eight.
Deon Jones led Monmouth with 20 points. Nicholas added 19 points and eight rebounds while Khalil Brown chipped in 14 points.
St. Francis converted just 3 of 21 3-point shots.
