Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has extended an offer to Greensboro (N.C.) Northwest Guilford wide receiver Tre Turner.
The 6-4, 185-pounder is considered one of the top prospects in the country, with Rivals ranking him as the No. 15 wide receiver and No. 77 overall player nationally. He is also listed as the No. 4 player in North Carolina.
Florida State, Florida, Oklahoma, Penn State, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Louisville, Tennessee, South Carolina and Miami (Fla.) are among the other offers for Turner.
As a junior, Turner caught 52 passes for 1,065 yards and 12 touchdowns. In addition, he recorded 30 tackles and one interception as a defensive back.
Turner is also a potential Division I basketball prospect. He is ranked as a three-star by Rivals and holds offers from West Virginia and Maryland-Eastern Shore.
