Let the awards begin for Redskins' rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Griffin was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 1, 40-32 road victory at New Orleans in his first career start.
Griffin completed 19-of-26 passes for 320 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions to become the first player in NFL history to compile 300-plus passing yards, two or more passing touchdowns and no interceptions in an NFL debut.
His 320 passing yards were the second most by a rookie quarterback in Week 1 in NFL history (Cam Newton, 422, 2011).
