The Jacksonville Jaguars signed running back Delone Carter on Monday and placed running back Justin Forsett on injured reserve, according to multiple reports.
Carter was traded from the Indianapolis Colts to the Baltimore Ravens in the offseason but was eventually waived during the preseason.
Carter, a fourth-round pick in the 2011 draft, had 133 rushes for 499 yards with five touchdowns in two seasons with the Colts.
Forsett has been out with a broken foot. He has just six carries for 31 yards in nine games this season.
Also, the Jaguars placed wide receiver Stephen Burton on IR with a concussion. Burton has missed about a month. Linebacker LaRoy Reynolds, who is eligible to return from suspension, will take Burton's roster spot.
