Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon is suspended for the first four games of the regular season because of a violation of the league's substance abuse policy, but a report of a recent groin surgery suggests he might not be ready for the start of training camp.
Blackmon is eligible to participate in preseason camp, but the Florida Times-Union reported Blackmon had groin surgery not long ago. He could be back in time for the start of training camp in three weeks, according to the report, but it is not certain.
Blackmon did not take part in the final minicamp session on June 14.
Blackmon started 15 games last season as a rookie, when he had 64 catches for 865 yards and five touchdowns.
