Reports say Buffalo Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb is suffering concussion-like symptoms after getting taking a blow to the head in the first quarter of Saturday's preseason game against the Washington Redskins.
Kolb was hurt at the end of an 8-yard scramble in the first quarter, when he appeared to get hit in the back of his helmet by Redskins linebacker Brandon Jenkins' knee. Kolb remained in the game for four more plays, until the drive ended with a 2-yard touchdown run by C.J. Spiller.
Undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel entered the game on the next series.
Kolb has been competing for the starting job with first-round pick EJ Manuel, but both have battled injuries. Kolb missed the preseason opener with a knee injury. Manuel hurt his left knee in the Bills' previous game and is out for the rest of the preseason.
