Texas quarterback David Ash will miss another game because of a head injury, according to a report.
The junior will sit out Thursday night's Big 12 matchup against Iowa State and Case McCoy will start in his place, OrangeBloods.com reported Wednesday.
Ash originally was injured in the Longhorns' loss to BYU in early September and missed the next game against Ole Miss. He returned to start in Texas' win over Kansas State on Sept. 21 but left that game with an injury.
In three games this season, Ash has completed 53 of 87 passes for 760 yards and seven touchdowns with two interceptions.
McCoy started in Ash's place against Ole Miss and completed 24 of 36 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown. He has connected on 36 of 57 passes for 330 yards this season.
The Longhorns are 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the Big 12 entering Thursday night's game.
