Oklahoma cornerback Joe Powell, who is already suspended from the team, is facing felony charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, ESPN's Sooner Nation reported.
According to the report, an affidavit stated that Norman, Okla., police connected Powell to a FexEx package containing four pounds of marijuana that came from California in October.
Powell said he was holding the package for another person but admitted he distributed "a little bit of money or marijuana" to two females who delivered the package. A preliminary hearing has been set for Dec. 18.
Powell has been suspended from the team since October.
