Defensive end Michael Bennett was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday.
That probably explains why he received only a one-year deal worth $5 million when he signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent recently.
It's unclear what Bennett's status will be for the upcoming season and whether he will need surgery.
He had 9.0 sacks while starting all 16 games for Tampa Bay last season.
