Mark Reynolds and the Cleveland Indians have agreed to a one-year deal that will pay Reynolds $6 million, multiple media outlets reported Sunday.
Reynolds' pay could increase to $7.5 million if he reaches certain incentives, according to the reports.
The 29-year-old Reynolds, who has played third base and first base, hit .221 with 23 homers and 69 RBIs for the Orioles in 2012.
His best season was 2009 with Arizona, when he hit .260 with 44 homers and 102 RBIs. He also set a major-league record by striking out 223 times that year.
The move may take the Indians out of contention for Kevin Youkilis.
