The Oakland Raiders plan to work out free agent quarterback David Carr on Monday, according to NFL.com.
Starter Terrelle Pryor is expected to play Sunday night against the San Diego Chargers after missing last week's game with a concussion. Undrafted rookie Matt McGloin was moved up to the backup spot and Matt Flynn was dropped to third on the depth chart. Flynn started in place of Pryor last week but was ineffective.
The Raiders are reportedly interested in Josh Freeman, who was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week.
Carr, a former No. 1 overall draft pick, has played for the Houston Texans (2002-06), Carolina Panthers (2007), New York Giants (2008-09, 2011-12) and San Francisco 49ers (2010).
