Report: Pavano won't pitch this season

Free agent pitcher Carl Pavano, who had his spleen removed in January after an snow-shoveling accident, is not expected to pitch this season, his agent told
Pavano, 37, has been unable to work out since the injury that nearly cost him his life, Pavano's agent, Dave Pepe, told
However, he might try to make a comeback next season.
"Carl will not be physically able to play this year as he recovers from his spleen removal and the complications that followed," Pepe said via text, according to the report. "His hope is that he can give it a try next year."
Pavano was 2-5 with a 6.00 ERA for the Minnesota Twins last season. He was limited to 11 starts because of a shoulder injury.
