Report: Patriots do not plan to cut Dennard

The New England Patriots do not plan to release cornerback Alfonzo Dennard despite his recent arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, the Boston Globe reported.
Dennard was previously sentenced to 30 days in jail for assaulting a police officer before he was drafted in 2012.
Dennard has a hearing scheduled for July 31, and that may influence to Patriots' moves regarding Dennard as well as actions the NFL might take against him.
Last season as a rookie for the Patriots, Dennard played in 10 games, including six starts, and intercepted three passes.
The Patriots re-signed Kyle Arrington this offseason, and he is a candidate to start if Dennard is suspended.
Also, the Patriots waived wide receiver Donald Jones. He had signed a three-year contract in March, but none of the money was guaranteed, according to
