The New England Patriots will activate running back Shane Vereen for Monday night's game against the Carolina Panthers, according to ESPN.
Vereen has been out with a broken wrist he sustained during the Patriots' season opener against the Buffalo Bills.
The third-year running back was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return after running for a career-high 101 yards in the win. He returned to practice in late October.
Vereen is also one of the team's most effective receivers out of the backfield.
