Nashville Predators wing Patric Hornqvist will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a lower-body injury in Saturday night's game at Anaheim, Predators coach Barry Trotz told the Tennessean.
"He's a big part of what we do," Trotz said, according to the Tennessean. "He's a great guy who brings a lot of energy. He's as hard as they come. He's one of the best net-front guys here in the league, if not the best."
Hornqvist, 26, had one goal and three assists in four games before Saturday's game, and he had 27 goals and 16 assists in 76 games for the Predators last season.
Through five games this season, the Predators have just 10 goals.
