The expectation inside the Detroit Lions headquarters is that Jim Schwartz will be fired as the Lions head coach, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday on NFL Network.
According to the report, it is possible that the Lions' entire front office will be replaced following the Lions' 7-9 season, which included a 14-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
Schwartz took of a team that had been 0-16 the year before he arrived. He led the Lions to a winning record in only one of his five seasons in Detroit.
NFL Media columnist Michael Silver said Bill Ford Jr. will make the decision on Schwartz and general manager Martin Mayhew.
