The New York Jets are not planning to release quarterback Tim Tebow before the NFL's new year starts in March, according to ESPN. Instead, they are still hoping they can trade him.
Whether there will be any interest from other teams is in doubt, though.
One NFL general manager told this week: "I think his career is over without playing another position."
The Jacksonville Jaguars were the only team that showed interest in Tebow last season, and they are no longer interested.
The Jets can trade Tebow after March 12, and, according to the report, they are seeking a mid-round or late-round draft pick in a trade for Tebow.
Tebow was used for just 73 offensive plays for the Jets this past season.
