West Virginia coach Bob Huggins has signed a contract extension through 2023 that includes a salary increase of approximately $20 million over the next six years, the Sporting News reported.
Huggins, 59, who guided the Mountaineers to the Final Four in 2010, will make $3 million this season.
He has been at West Virginia since 2007, whe he replaced John Beilein, who left for Michigan. Huggins' teams have reached the NCAA Tournament in each of his five seasons with the Mountaineers.
His career record, which includes stints at Akron, Cincinnati and Kansas State, is 710-268.
