Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper was diagnosed with a bruised left shoulder and left knee after X-rays came back negative.
Harper needed 11 stitches after he crashed into the fence during Monday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but didn't suffer a concussion, his agent, Scott Boras, told the Washington Post.
Harper had a gash under his chin and on his neck, and also jammed his shoulder when he smashed into the outfield wall at Dodger Stadium in pursuit of a drive by A.J. Ellis. He is still scheduled to receive X-rays on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old is batting .303 with 10 homers and 21 RBIs through the first 35 games of the season.
