Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha ate in his car during practices last season instead of with teammates, according to a WIP Radio's Hollis Thomas.
Thomas, who played for the Eagles from 1996-2005, cited unnamed sources in his report. He said Asomugha wanted "me time" during the season.
Beyond eating separately, the 31-year-old has been asked by the team to restructure his contract or be released, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The two sides met last week at the NFL scouting combine. Asomugha is scheduled to make $15 million in 2013, $4 million of which is guaranteed.
