The Los Angeles Clippers dismissed coach Vinny Del Negro Thursday following the team's first-round exit in the playoffs.
Del Negro's deal expires June 30, and he reportedly won't be offered another.
He took over in 2010 after being fired by the Chicago Bulls, and guided the Clippers consecutive postseason appearances and the organization's first Pacific Division title.
Despite losing in the first round, the 56-26 regular-season mark was the best in franchise history, including a 16-0 mark in December. But the Clippers were sent home by the Memphis Grizzlies in the opening round of the Western Conference playoffs, losing in six games after going ahead 2-0.
