Pop music star Bruno Mars is expected to be the main halftime entertainment for Super Bowl XLVII, according to a report Saturday by the Los Angeles Times.
The NFL has not confirmed the report, although noted in jest, "though an NFL spokesman joked to the paper that Janet Jackson and Miley Cyrus already had been eliminated from consideration."
The Times called Mars, "A consummate performer, the singer-songwriter effortlessly harnesses the old school pizazz of James Brown, Prince and Elvis, who he cut his teeth impersonating as a kid, with a shimmering pop lilt that makes him an undeniable live force."
