The Cleveland Browns have been contacted by at least three teams willing to deal a high pick and a player in exchange for wide receiver Josh Gordon, according to ESPN.
The second-year player is second on the Browns with 27 receptions for 450 yards and two touchdowns despite being suspended for the first two games of the season.
The trade deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 29 and Browns coach Rob Chudzinski has previously said the team isn't interested in trading Gordon. According to the report, the Browns are hesitant to deal him without receiving more in a trade.
Gordon, 22, failed to make a reception on a fourth-down play in the fourth quarter against Green Bay on Sunday. However, Chudzinski disputed any notion of it being due to a lack of effort.
"I don't think it was an effort thing. Josh wants to be an elite receiver in this league, and those are the types of plays that you have to find a way to make," Chudzinski said. "He went up for it; he tried to body-catch it, more so than high-pointing it, so those are some technique things that we can work with him on.
"I've seen him make some great catches before, and he's going to make more from here on out."
