Football Kenya Referees Association (Kefora) risks being dropped from Football Kenya Federation affiliations list due to wrangles within the association.
Kefora has had two factions, each of which claiming to be the association’s bona fide ruling wing and the country’s FA had extended an hand in a bid to end the wrangles for the good of the game but the attempt has apparently failed.
An all-inclusive election was to be presided over by the federation after all parties met in July over the same but one wing has moved to the court accusing FKF of ‘interfering in its affairs’.
In a letter addressed to Kefora from FKF and obtained by Goal, the federation has moved with speed to disassociate itself with matters Kefora advising the body to solve their problems amicably or risk being chopped off from list of affiliations.
The two warring factions of the referees’ association are led by GMT Ottieno and Wycliffe Ogutu respectively.
