The Washington Redskins signed free agent linebacker Quan Sturdivant and released wide receiver Devery Henderson.
The team did not release the terms of Sturdivant's deal.
Sturdivant was a sixth round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2011 out of North Carolina. He spent his rookie season on the practice squad. After the Cardinals released him in 2012, he was signed to the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad.
In nine NFL seasons, Henderson has 245 catches for 4,377 yards with 20 touchdowns -- all with the New Orleans Saints. He was a second round pick in 2004.
