Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo and safety Brandon Meriweather suffered injuries in the first quarter of their game against the Chicago Bears on Saturday night.
Orakpo appeared to hurt his left shoulder trying to tackle Devin Hester, and Meriweather left with a leg injury shortly later. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the initial diagnosis on Orakpo was a minor sprain related to old scar tissue and he was not expected to miss much time.
There was no update on Meriweather, who was examined on the sideline and then taken to the locker room.
