The Redskins hired former DE Phillip Daniels as the team's director of player development.
Daniels has 15 seasons of experience in the NFL, including his final seven with the 'Skins. He was a fourth-round pick in the 1996 draft by the Seahawks. He also played for the Bears for four seasons.
"We welcome Philiip back to the Redskins' family," GM Bruce Allen said. "His 15 years of NFL experience will be a great asset for our football team."
Daniels totaled 512 tackles and 62 sacks in 201 career games.
"I'm really looking forward to helping our players and team win, on and off the field," Daniels said.
