Reds pitching coach Price interviews for Marlins job

Cincinnati Reds pitching coach Bryan Price interviewed for the Miami Marlins managerial job, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Saturday.

Price coached a Reds staff that had a 3.34 ERA this season. Cincinnati won the National League Central with a 97-65 record and reached the NL Championship Series.

Price, 50, interviewed for Marlins job in 2006, which was given to Joe Girardi. Price has ties to Larry Beinfest, the Marlins president of baseball operations.

Mike Redmond, a former Marlins catcher and current Toronto Blue Jays minor league manager, is believed to be the leading candidate.
