The Green Bay Packers signed second-round draft pick Eddie Lacy on Thursday, the team announced.
Terms of the contract weren't available.
The former Alabama running back was the No. 61 overall pick in the NFL Draft in April. Lacy rushed for 1,322 yards and 17 touchdowns on 204 carries during his junior season and was named first-team All-Southeastern Conference.
Lacy will compete at running back with fourth-round pick Johnathan Franklin, DuJuan Harris and Alex Green for playing time with the Packers. But there are some concerns about Lacy's right big toe that required surgery in college and scared away some team from drafting him.
With Lacy's signing, the Packers have 10 of their 11 picks from the 2013 draft under contract. First-round pick Datone Jones, a defensive lineman, is still unsigned.
