Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brandon Guyer, who has been out since May 12 because of a shoulder injury to his left (non-throwing) arm, will miss the rest of the season after another surgery to repair a torn labrum.
Dr. James Andrews will perform the surgery next week, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Guyer, 26, can play all three outfield spots. Reserves Brandon Allen, Sam Fuld, Jeff Keppinger and Jose Lobaton are each on the disabled list.
