Baltimore Ravens wide receiver/returner Jacoby Jones received a $1 million roster bonus, according to the Baltimore Sun.
The move signals that he likely has a secure spot on the team's Super Bowl-winning roster. He received the bonus on Friday.
Jones is scheduled to make $3 million in base salary and has a cap number of $4.9 million for this year. He enters the final year of a two-year, $7 million maximum value contract that includes a $500,000 escalator clause that depends on how many receptions he makes.
Jones returned three kicks for touchdowns, including a 108-yarder that tied an NFL record for the longest in history. He also set a franchise record by averaging 30.7 yards per kickoff return in making the Pro Bowl.
In the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, Jones caught a touchdown and returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
He may see an expanded role in the offense after the team traded Anquan Boldin to the 49ers. Jones caught 30 passes for 406 yards with a touchdown during the regular season.
Jones is preparing for his debut on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" show that premiers Monday night.
