The Toronto Raptors announced that they signed free-agent guard Dwight Buycks. Terms and length of the contract were not announced.
Buycks, 24, spent last season with Gravelines of the French Pro A League, leading his team with an 18.0 points per game scoring average, plus 3.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 32 minutes of playing time per game.
The 6-foot-3, 190 pound Buycks also took part in 16 EuroChallenge games, averaging 15.3 points, 3.8 assists and 30.6 minutes per game. He spent the 2011-12 season with the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League, averaging 15.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 26.8 minutes in 28 games, mostly off the bench.
