Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish was scratched from his scheduled start against the A's on Tuesday because of stiffness in his neck, MLB.com reported.
Scott Feldman was scheduled to start in Darvish's place.
Darvish had a stiff neck when he woke up Tuesday morning. He tried to get it loose with treatment, but without success.
"He was disappointed he wasn't going to start, and we're disappointed he's not going to start," manager Ron Washington said.
The Rangers are not sure when Darvish will start again, and he's unlikely to get more than one more start during the regular season.
Darvish is 16-9 with a 3.90 ERA in 29 starts.
Feldman is 6-11 with a 5.19 ERA in 20 starts and seven relief appearances.
