St. Louis Rams veteran center Scott Wells will be lost for the remainder of the year, after he suffered a broken ankle in Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
"Scott's going to be down for four to six (weeks),'' Rams coach Jeff Fisher said during his Monday news conference at Rams Park. "We're still evaluating. ... so we're kind of evaluating what we're going to do with the roster.''
Wells, 32, had started all 12 games this season. Wells only played seven games last season after coming over from the Green Bay Packers on a four-year, $24 million contract.
