Rajon Rondo: Hopes to be Ready for Opener

RotoWire.com Staff

Update: Rondo is targeting the 2013-14 season opener as his return to the court from a partially torn ACL in his right knee, the Boston Herald reports.

Recommendation: Due to the less severe nature of his ailment, Rondo is not ill-advised in his expectation. Meanwhile, his rehabilitation is going off without a hitch, so he may in fact be able to participate in many of the Celtics' preseason tilts, assuming he is still with the team after a summer of change. If so, he will be the unquestioned first option on offense, with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett soon to join the Nets.
