Offensive tackle Tony Hills was signed by the Oakland Raiders, who also claimed linebacker Chase Thomas off waivers.
The 6-foot-4, 304-pound Hills had has contract terminated by the Bills on Sunday, but provides veteran experience for the Raiders. Hills was a fourth-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008 and played in 10 career games over five seasons while spending time with the Steelers, Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts.
He saw action in a career-high six games for the Colts last season, including his first career start.
The 6-foot-3, 241-pound Thomas originally signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in April, and was waived by the team Monday.
Thomas, who played in 52 games at Stanford, recorded recorded 229 tackles, 27.5 sacks, 50.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, nine forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries for the Cardinal.
The Raiders also announced they have waived/injured kicker Eddy Carmona.
