The Green Bay Packers have lost three games in a row, but injured quarterback Aaron Rodgers won't return this week to rescue the team.
"Scott Tolzien will start this week," Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Monday. "Was that as quick as last week?"
Tolzien started the past two games. He was 24-for-34 passing in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants, but threw three interceptions. He will get his third start on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
McCarthy did not provide any indication when Rodgers might return from his fractured collarbone, saying only that the decision rests with the medical staff.
"We all know he wants to play, wants to play as soon as he can," McCarthy said. "But those are big decisions."
