Purdue held its second scrimmage of the spring Saturday and its first practice outdoors of the spring, getting in 100-plus snaps at Ross-Ade Stadium.

The scrimmage pitted the No. 1 units vs. each other and then the second- and third-team units against each other. There were no crossover 1s vs. 2s, which is a good thing because that’s an unnecessarily uneven matchup, regardless of side.
