A day after rookie phenom Yasiel Puig crashed hard into an outfield wall making a running catch, he was in the starting lineup on Thursday night for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Puig came away from the collision with a bruised hip but was able to make it through pregame warm-ups before the Dodgers faced the Colorado Rockies.
In Puig's first month in the major leagues, the 22-year-old is batting .440 with eight home runs and 18 RBIs. His gaudy numbers earned him National League Rookie and Player of the Month honors in June.
