A ring that appeared to be quarterback Terrelle Pryor's from Ohio State's 2008 Big Ten championship team sold on eBay for $18,000 on Saturday night, according to CBSSports.com.
The ring that matched the description of Pryor's and was accompanied by a picture with his last name embossed on it also noted the team's 42-7 victory over Michigan on Nov. 28, 2008.
The Buckeyes' 2008 season was marred by the "tattoo-gate" scandal in which players received cash for memorabilia and ultimately led to head coach Jim Tressel's departure from the program. The resulting NCAA penalties left Ohio State unable to play in a BCS bowl game last season despite a 12-0 record.
Pryor, currently with the Oakland Raiders, left the program after the scandal became public and entered the NFL's Supplemental Draft.
