Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter has arguably the best name in the NFL right now. And since taking over the offense midway through the season in 2015, he’s become a popular figure in Detroit, both for his name and for the improvement Detroit has shown on that side of the ball.

And at least one Lions fan has an expanded role in mind for Cooter: Coordinator-in-Chief.

Receiver Golden Tate spotted a van on Wednesday with “Jim Bob Cooter for President” written on its back windows, above several Lions bumper stickers. Tate posted a photo to Instagram with the caption, “Umm…YES.”

The photo also made the rounds at the Lions’ facility – defensive coordinator Teryl Austin ended his press conference by saying, “Jim Bob for President,” though when Cooter was asked for his choice of running mate, he smiled and said, “I’ve got my own problems.”

Including one pretty big one: Cooter is only 32, and the President has to be at least 35. So he’d have to wait until 2020 to mount his candidacy.
